We are a group of individuals with a background in insurance and investments. We have been in the insurance and benefit business for 30 years, and watched MSA programs flourish. We believe that HSAs will go a long way to reduce health care costs. If the concept is embraced it will go a long way to improve the system for both consumers and providers.
HSAs provide the incentives necessary to cut medical expenses and align interests of employers and employees. The H.S.A re-introduces self-constraint and a cost-benefit approach to consumers which will be a welcome relief to doctors and providers.
Education is a critical component of the HSA. Participants must understand how to maximize the financial incentives of the HSA plan. The hope is that by providing this resource we will assist a grass-roots approach to health reform that will benefit individuals personally and contribute to a greater good.
